Our Licensed Clinical Psychologists work with adults, adolescents, and children; we are all trained as generalists but specialize in treating anxiety, depression, college student mental health, trauma, relationship concerns, body image/eating disorders. We provide psychotherapy, as well as psychological assessment.
Dr. Jennifer (Panning) Contarino established her Evanston psychology practice in 2004. In 2014, she added her first associate, and in 2015 formed Mindful Psychology Associates PC to provide more comprehensive, “whole person” psychology services to the Evanston, Northwestern University, and North Shore communities.
Our practice name refers to our interest or specific training in working from a mindfulness perspective with clients. However, we also pride ourselves on being ethical, thoughtful, and mindful psychologists! We believe that being humans who focus on being centered only benefits our clinical work.
Our mission is for our competent, caring clinicians to provide high-quality psychological services. In doing so, we help our clients feel heard and understood and experience growth and healing, thus empowering them to lead healthier lives consistent with their values. We are a place where people can feel respected, comfortable, and safe, regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, religion, and all of the other things which make us all unique.
Our Evanston therapy office is conveniently located for Chicago and North Shore clients in the Carlson Building across the street from the Evanston Library, just a short walking distance from the Northwestern University campus. We are located a few blocks from the Davis St. purple line/Metra stop, and metered parking is available nearby.
