Aaron Stuewe, Evanston Staff Therapist

Providing therapy for Chicago adolescents and adults.

Aaron Stuewe

“I work with clients to forge new ways of relating to themselves and others as well as engage more fully in the world. We do this together by learning a range of new skills and processing past experiences, but at its core, it is about connection with another human being to be seen, heard, understood, respected, and known.

“My style as a therapist is energetic, accepting, compassionate, and challenging. I truly love my work and experience a deep sense of gratitude for being able to participate in it. People are endlessly complex and I am constantly in awe of our resilience and depth as human beings!

“Therapeutically, I primarily utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and EMDR. With these two interventions you can learn effective skills to manage painful thoughts, feelings, and sensations, develop direction and purpose, as well as process painful past experiences towards resolution. All of this is done with the intention of living a more full, connected, and valued life. “
