Jennifer (Panning) Contarino, Psy.D., (she/her/hers), Founder and President of Mindful Psychology Associates PC, has been an Illinois Licensed Clinical Psychologist for more than sixteen years. In 2017, she authored a chapter for the New York Times best-selling book “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump: 27 Mental Health Experts Assess a President”. Her contribution entitled “Trump Anxiety Disorder” has led to interviews, writing and speaking engagements related to anxiety and fear amidst the existing sociopolitical climate. Dr. Contarino Panning has since been featured in publications such as New York Magazine, Washington Post, healthline.com, Esquire, Thrive Global, Raw Story, The Bill Press Pod, and CBC News.
She established her private practice in Evanston, Illinois, in 2004 committed to providing high-quality psychological services to Evanston, Chicago’s North Shore, and Northwestern University communities. A successful entrepreneur, she expanded her practice in 2015 and now leads a team of eight psychologists and counselors working at Mindful Psychology Associates while also regularly teaching and presenting on various psychological topics.
With her twenty years of clinical experience, she demonstrates a commitment to training and supporting the next generation of psychologists by employing and supervising psychology post-doctoral fellows. In this next stage of her career, she is available for new opportunities related to writing, speaking, teaching, presenting, supervision, and consultation.
